Ring in the New Year on the Riverwalk with the Batavia Community Band!

FIREWORKS COMMITTEE CELEBRATES BATAVIA’S 180TH BIRTHDAY ON NEW YEAR’S EVE

 

All Batavians are invited to ring in the New Year on the Riverwalk in downtown Batavia from 9:00-9:30pm on Tuesday, December 31. The Fireworks Committee, the City of Batavia, and the Batavia Park District are kicking off Batavia’s 180th birthday with a performance of the Batavia Community Band, a luminaria display, and a mini fireworks show on the Riverwalk. Hot chocolate, noisemakers and glow sticks will be sold, and a 50/50 raffle will offer one lucky winner a very happy start to the New Year.

WHAT:  Mini fireworks show, luminaria display, and a performance by the Batavia Community Band

WHEN:  Tuesday evening, December 31, from 9:00-9:30pm

WHY:  To kick off Batavia’s 180th birthday and the 45th birthday of the Batavia Park District, and to ring in the New Year with the entire Batavia community

HOW:  Sales of hot chocolate, noisemakers and glow sticks, as well as a 50/50 raffle and donations will help defray costs for this event
