Funding Resources | Batavia Music Buffs

The Gertrude Petit Memorial Scholarship is available to graduating seniors who have been accepted as full-time music majors. The annual gift honors the memory of Mrs. Petit, mother of several BPS alums and dedicated music students. Watching her children's develop and thrive in BPS Music Programs ignited Mrs. Petit's passion for music education and helping deserving students reach their potential. This scholarship amount of $1,000.00 is limited to students who have received unconditional acceptance to a music education or music performance program an accredited college or university.

Applications are accepted each March-April with awards presented in May.

Disbursement Request Form

Use of form is strictly limited to approved BPS staff and faculty and other individuals approved by the Music Buffs executive board to report expenses and request payment and reimbursement for costs related to BPS Music programs or Batavia Music Buffs sponsored activities. Expenses must be approved in advance and all expenditures must be documented by purchase orders, receipts, etc. Please email Treasurer@bataviamusicbuffs.org with any questions.

Open Form

The Batavia Music Buffs encourages every BPS music student to participate in a summer music camp in order to enhance their musical skills and personal development. Our summer scholarships aim to make this goal achievable by assisting with camp tuition and fees. A limited number of scholarships are available each year-- details on amounts and application availability are typically announced in early March. Please note that eligibility is not based on financial need, so all families are encouraged to apply.
